Booking accommodation
To book your homestay accommodation please complete the
online booking form.
When we receive your booking we will email you to tell
you if we can or cannot meet the requirements specified. This
will normally happen within 2 working days.
If you have not received an answer within 3 working days
there is a chance that we have not received your booking so please
email us at info@uk-homestay.com .
Working days exclude Saturdays, Sundays & Public Holidays.
If we can meet the requirements specified on the booking
form, a non-refundable deposit of £50 will be charged to
your credit card.
If we cannot meet the specified requirements there is no
charge.
Payment
Following receipt of the acccommodation details and invoice,
you have 3 days in which to confirm that you want the offered
accommodation.
If you do not respond to the offer within 3 days, the booking
will be cancelled.
The £50 deposit is non-refundable and will be deducted
from the final invoice.
Payment of the balance of the fees can be by credit card
or bank transfer, details are on the invoice.
Bookings can only be guaranteed after we have received
payment.
Credit card payments are subject to a 2% surcharge to cover
the costs we have to pay.
Payment of the deposit is by credit card.
Minimum stay
The minimum stay is 1 week for Standard, Superior
and Executive homestays.
The minimum stay is 2 weeks for Budget homestays.
Bookings received for less than 7 days will be charged
as 1 week.
Arrival time
The homestay host should be informed of your estimated
arrival time, to ensure that someone is at home.
Twin/Double rooms
Twin and double rooms are only available for 2 people coming
together.
Cancellations
For cancellations more than 30 days prior to arrival, 1
week's cancellation charge will apply.
For cancellations between 29 and 2 days prior to arrival,
up to 4 week's cancellation charge may apply.
No refund will be given for cancellations received 2 days
or less prior to arival, or for no shows.
Booking fees are not refundable in all cases.
Curtailment
If you have to cut short your stay, there will be no refund of accomodation charges.
If your accommodation is unsuitable, you will be provided with alternative accommodation.
Deposits
For stays over 4 weeks duration, a 2 week (refundable) deposit is required.
The deposit will be refunded on the day of departure, less any deductions for damages (if applicable).
Insurance
Students are strongly advised to purchase adequate insurance
to cover all eventualities e.g. illness, accidents, theft, cancellation
charges.
Liability
Our liability is no more than the money we have received
from you.
We do not accept liability for any loss, damage or misadventure
you may suffer in the accommodation, or elsewhere.
